Here at Absolute Martial Arts, we believe children should earn their rank through effort and practice. This gives each student a real sense of accomplishment as they progress at our school. Too many schools feel that students should be given their belts based upon the amount of time they have been training or the amount of money they have paid instead of their hard work and skill.
Sparring and realistic self-defense is incorporated at all ranks and skill levels. There are no contracts to sign or minimum time requirements to be allowed to start sparring or practicing self-defense. These two components are the practical applications of martial arts and are graded at every rank promotion.
We also follow World Taekwondo Federation and Kukkiwon regulations with regards to black belt rank and promotions. Please feel free to use the following link to view all requirements and regulations:
Taebaek : Name of the a mountain with the meaning "bright mountain" where the founder of the Korean people reigned the counrty. It symbolizes sacredness soul and Tangun's thought of "humanitarian ideal."
Junior Classes: Ages 4-7 years old. Teaching traditional and Olympic style Taekwondo with a focus on discipline, respect, and concentration. Confidence is developed so students can stay safe from bullies in school.
Children Classes: Ages 8-12 years old. Teaching traditional and Olympic style Taekwondo with a focus on discipline, respect, and concentration. School grades are monitored and students develop the confidence to stand up to bullies while learning to be respectful of others so they do not become the bully. Children are also able to round out their martial arts training with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes.
Teen/Adult Classes: Ages 13 and older. Teaching both traditional and Olympic style Taekwondo. Students learn stand up self defense as well as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu taught by American Top Team Boston Best Way Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
After School Martial Arts Program: Children will be picked up from their school & brought to Absolute Martial Arts where they will complete their homework, have snack time, play games and activities, learn core life skills, and participate in Taekwondo lessons. Full week and half week programs available.
Winter, Spring, and Summer Vacations: Available during all school vacations (December, February, & April). Play games & activities, participate in daily classes, and attend exciting field trips throughout the week. Vacations programs are Monday thru Friday from 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. Summer vacation programs run the entire months of July and August.

School Rules of Conduct:
When you enter the training area, salute by placing your right hand over your heart, then return it to your side and bow to: the school itself, your Instructor, and your fellow students.
If you arrive late for class, wait on one knee at the dojang entrance for permission from the Instructor. Never leave class without the Instructor’s permission.
The school is a place of discipline. It must be treated with the respect worthy of a place of great honor. The following are not allowed in the training area: shoes, socks, gum chewing, loud laughter, bad language, arguing, rough-housing, unsupervised sparring, smoking or jewelry.
You must wear a clean uniform.
Whenever you approach your instructor, bow and wait for him/her to acknowledge you presence. Then speak politely in a quiet and respectful manner.
When you need help ask your Instructor.
Always be courteous and obey your Instructor. Advanced students should help to guide the lower belts by exemplifying proper behavior and encouraging the lower belts to do the same.
Do not demonstrate or teach Martial Arts outside of your school without permission from the Instructor. Never degrade the Art, the reputation of your school, or any member or teacher of your school.
You must have permission of your Instructor to participate in any competition or martial arts activity.
Age Needs:
3-7 years old: Developing motor skills and social skills. Developing concentration, balance, and coordination.
8-12 years old: Help with discipline, concentration, and self-defense. Focus on anti-bullying.
13-14 years old: Give them positive focus in their lives and by instilling in them a sense of discipline, respect, self confidence and self-defense.
15-18 years old: Help with discipline, respect, fitness, confidence, and self-defense, as well as providing a constructive way to channel their energies.
19-29 years old: Looking for a challenge to focus their energies. Provide the challenge along with physical fitness and self-defense.
30-39 years old: Provide a sport, relaxation, confidence, fitness, and self-defense.
40-49 years old: Help with relaxation, fitness, weight control, stamina, strength, and a new challenge.
50-70 years old: Help with relaxation, fitness, fun, confidence, and reviving the idea that it is not too late to do something new.

Bullying is a serious matter that has many forms and causes physical, emotional, & psychological harm to our children. Martial arts is a perfect solution.
